BCMA Female Vocalist of the Year nominee and 2 x UK Country iTunes number 1 artist, Georgia Nevada is an artist that is shaking up the UK country scene. Nevada’s music has broken the UK iTunes all genre Top 40, demonstrating her ability to pique the interest of all music lovers. Known for her powerful vocals and lyrical prowess, Nevada brings a unique blend of southern rock and blues rooted in the familiarity of country music. Nevada’s new EP, ‘Bright Side of the Dark,’ is one she describes as ‘raw, bold and unfiltered’. The title track opens with grungy guitars and Nevada’s classic sound, a familiar and happy place for fans, whereas ‘A Day That Makes Sense’ showcases her vulnerability, deepening her connection with listeners through her poignant songwriting. Nevada’s signature is her ability to command an audience, whatever style she’s playing. From festival stages to intimate venues, full band or acoustic, Nevada’s talent and delivery cement her place as an artist to watch out for. A phrase often over applied, but Nevada really does have it all and creates a sound that would sit as harmoniously on Kerrang! as it would on country radio.
Having opened for UK power houses like Kezia Gill, Jade Helliwell and Gina Larner, and holding festival slots with international names like Drake White, Nevada is now a household name amongst independent artists in the UK. With 2 sold-out EP launch shows, radio play across the country and a confirmed artist for the UK’s newest and highly anticipated festival, Roadhouse Weekender, Nevada continues to work hard at her craft and carve space for her music. Nevada takes inspiration from the likes of Elle King and The Cadillac Three, but manages to craft her own inimitable sound, tying anthemic beats to creative storytelling that is as entertaining live as it is recorded. On the back of her EP, Nevada is already booked in to record a long-awaited album next year, with the first single expected around May.
“I have reviewed a couple of earlier singles by Georgia, so I have been keeping an eye on her career wise and remain impressed. She is definitely at the rockier edge of country, but her rock style has this infectious country dance feel infused through it.” – Lorraine Foley, Rock The Joint magazine, October 2024
“It’s five excellently-written radio-rock tracks with a country twang to them, and draws from plenty of different sounds and inspirations… Georgia has got a huge future in the burgeoning UK country scene, and this release further proves that! I’d check this out if you are in any way into country, rock or even pop! 9/10” – Overtone Magazine, November 2024
“The Bright Side of the Dark showcases Nevada’s unique ability to switch moods with a single strum. In one moment, she has you tapping your foot; in the next, you’re fighting back a tear. It’s easy to see why Georgia is being talked about as one of the most promising voices in today’s country music revival.” – The Bristol Gig Guide, November 2024
